The Fighting Arts “Stop the Wrestler”
The “Stop the Wrestler” course is 8 hours long and is designed to teach individuals how to avoid and escape a wrestler’s attack. This course is created with self defense in mind NOT sports. Techniques used in this course should only be used in a self defense situation and never in a sports competition or tournament. This course focuses on exploiting weaknesses many wrestler and Jiu-Jitsu practitioners don’t like to admit.
Nowadays it seems like everyone knows a little bit of ground fighting. Thanks to the UFC
it has been made famous. But did you know that even in the UFC there are rules? In fact
all tournaments, schools, and classes have rules put in place to reduce the chances of
injuries. One example is that in the UFC you are not allowed to strike someone in the
back of the neck. So if they drop down and grab your legs and you see an opening to
downward elbow strike their neck or head, you are not allowed to do that. Many times
ground fighters unknowingly expose themselves to dangerous strikes. They do not fear
such strikes as they are illegal in tournaments and in classes and so they don’t ever
think about them. This course is designed to focus on the basics of ground fighting and
expose you to its weaknesses.
Unlike other courses that teach ground fighting to counter ground fighting, Our course
focuses on the concept of “I’m not going to play your game and fight the way you
want”. Welcome to “How to Stop the Wrestler”
